Welcome Back for Wednesday Wisdom vol. 9
I'm in need of real, every day wisdoms, wonders and good news! To that end...
First, give us your take on the wisdom U dig in the selection:
"We Must Embrace the absurd and go beyond everything we have ever known."

Then share with us a recent blessing that you have experienced!

Hi Cap!
Stopping by to say hello :)
great quote.
I'm interpreting that to mean that by embracing the absurdities, we elevate the norm to include what would normally be out of the ordinary. Then allow for the never before seen/done to flow creatively without restraint to achieve new heights.
my recent blessing was expressing my value to a company related to my areas of employment expertise and negotiating the heck out of a deal for myself as an independent contractor.
have a great one, Cap and everyone else.
Let's brace in the face of adversity, and displeasure, and give back, even when it hurts, otherwise aren't we allowing the absurb to take place.
Our dreams are often the scariest obstacles in our lives--how contradictory is that? Embrace them and run toward making them tangible to the REST of the world...because they should already be real for you.
How are my people doing?
That was excellent Ced...see with regards to the statement i never thought of it, in terms of "our dreams"....but yes, fulfilling our dreams can be most challenging, and the biggest challenger is ourselves. Glad to see your face around the place.
hey ced!!!!
Suspend your disbelief. Only the bold & courageous advance.
Whaddup, MizR?
DC, how's life today?
Dave, can you be my personal Confucius? Well said...
Cap, thaqnks for making me think last week!
The first step to wisdom is being ignorant so that you can start to learn.... love the quote and can't wait to see you on monday?
sometimes the answer lies in doing something that makes absolutely no sense to us.
get on the road less traveled and see where you end up.
TanYetta - thanx for stopping by:-)
DC - glad u like the quote...love the fact that new perspectives are given - i didn't think about the fact that we elevate the norm...i need to re-read the quote & see what else i dig up. LOL! congrats on the deal negotiation!
Miz - by living in NYC i realize the absurd's going to happen whether i allow it or not. LOL!
Ced - ooh, always taking me to another level;-) But stepping into life's flow IS inDEED most...uh, exciting. sometimes i run towards the desires & sometimes i slow down to see if it's really what/who i want;-)
Miz - yea, Ced can get deep on ya;-)
DC - i'm glad to see Ced up in heah, too!
Dave - go 'head, PapaSan;-). It's fascinating to me how difficult it is to practice the simple wisdoms.
Ced - i'm glad to share this "burden" of thinking. LOL!
Andrew - glad u like the quote, too. u know i can't stay away;-).
Rich - welcome back! As i stated to Dave above - many of these wisdoms are easier said than done! u know how hard it is to meet others who are comfortable being with u as u attempt ANYthing new & unfamiliar to them?
My take on this quote:
This is confirmation for me because it's EXACTLY how my life is going now - completely "absurd" in that NOTHING i do now follows any paths I've known before...I'm just holding onto my "wig" cuz it's a wild ride: this life:-). Better than any roller coaster!
PS - forgot to add my recent blessing & I hope many of u will return & add yours, too:-).
I enjoyed time with my family, celebrated my Dad's Birthday, picked some turnip greens from a family member's garden and they were the most DELICIOUS, tender greens I have had in YEARS! Kinda makes me want to live somewhere that I can have a li'l garden plot:-).
