I've been trying to avoid this Sean Bell & Nicole Paultre-Bell tragedy cuz I don't like being angry about things I can't do anything about. I'm a problem solver & solution seeker. So, I take this lesson from this young couple's tragedy: Get Married legally before the Ceremony. Since there was no license signed by Mr. Bell, Nicole has adopted his last name, but technically is not his wife/widow.
Then I found this video featuring one of my fave rap-artists: Busa' BUS! Now, I don't know the Brother personally, but his music always brangs a giggle to my lips and a wiggle to my hips;-). I have no idea how his new album sounds, so don't run out & buy it on my account - but I do like the title: Blessed ... and I'm digging this collaboration with Linkin Park:

This story hurts to a dangerous point; I understand why you've avoided talking about it. Every single time I see THAT picture of his loved ones...

yeah the sean bell has been crazy..many bloggers/writers/musicians/artists have been weighing in...
There's been this recent flood of new Busta Rhymes music in the blog-o-sphere. At first I wasn't going to pay attention but after seeing the "Don't Touch Me" video and this video with Linkin Park, I think Bus may be on to something again

That Bell story is sad indeed...and it seems like a terribly unfair injustice. As for that busta rhymes...I dunno about that one. I haven't really heard anything from him that I like recently...hope that changes soon...

That whole Sean Bell situation has upset me on so many levels! I can't adequately discuss it right now because everytime I talk about it I get heated.
I was meaning to post on the verdict but I have not for the same reasons as yours.

I think i've voiced my opinion on a couple of blogs...but i'm also feeling an emotional disconnect because we suspect or know that these things happen, and i don't want to blame all the police for those who were involved. I just hope they understand that a life was taken, and there is nothing small, or uncircumstantial about that.
