A FEW reasons I LOVE my Commute here in da NYC:

One day I'm going to work up the nerve to take photos of all the CUTIES I see on my commute. Until then, I searched for examples of the RANGE of TALENT that others have had the nerve to video & post on YouTube. Enjoy a TASTE of my NYC commute!

I actually saw/witnessed this magician & he was INCREDIBLE during the five minutes I saw him (this video does him little justice):


I've seen & purchased CD's from this group. At least I think this is the Brass Ensemble entitled Hypnotic.

I wish I could find a clip of the dude who did the "pole dance", and the breakers who were ON the moving train doing flips, etc. without touching anyone on the train, along with the Mexican guitar players & African Drummers.... So Many Talented folk, so few YouTube Videos... I hope you enjoyed what I could find!

I enjoyed watching a couple on the train this morning who clearly put it ON each other a few hours earlier. He was standing, she was sitting and she was still all cozy lookin' like she wanted to curl up under him again & I wasn't even mad at her. Made me reminisce a bit. Even made me look around to see if I could tell who else was gettin' it good & regular. Made me hope I am putting on a good front! LOL!

I am still smiling from the inside out. Looking forward to smiling from deep down inside out! LOL!

I know in my heart that I'll be mated sooner than I can imagine. Who knew that I'd actually find it fun & intriguing to be in this "place" that I'm in presently. I can feel him honing in on me: u know that feeling u get just before some one comes up behind u & puts their hands over your eyes? U're surprised, but then not really... and when u finally see who it is u usually GRIN all OVAH yourself! Yea, I'm in that place;-).

This feeling must be real, cuz Winter is coming. And since I've moved to NYC I used to dread the oncoming of Winter ... but not this year!

I'm determined to host more house parties, brunches, & gatherings at my home this Winter.

I'm looking forward to cooking again.

This isn't a poem - just a prayer of thanx to The Creator for life's blessings. This was inspired by students & loved ones who've endured so much around me. I am amazed, encouraged & motivated by their strength!

A Few Random Musings...

Church - I haven't been much at all this Summer. I intended to go this morning, but moved too slowly for the service I wanted to attend. I miss it, but also don't feel completely up to it, yet. I don't feel ready to answer all of the questions. I'm also curious about and want to visit other churches.

Rhythm - Got to get into a good working, writing, chore completing cycle. I feel as if I'm standing outside the double dutch rope bopping trying to figure when is the best time to jump in. I've been standing outside these ropes for a "minute"... since I began this new full time position. So, I guess I've been jumping this single rope & the other ropes are being neglected, for now...

Singular Living - As I think back historically, it seems many great folk were single for most if not all of their existences on earth: Jesus, Beethoven, Susan B. Anthony, Langston Hughes, Emily Dickinson to name a few. Why is it more acceptable to choose ANY other lifestyle than single? Why do folk think something is "wrong" with you if you choose to be single? I wonder if my waves of frustration have more to do with folks' reactions than my actual existence.

Connections - I am vibe driven. If I don't sense compatibility I can't "fake it until I make it".

W-healthly Wednesdays - looks alot like Thankful Thursday 2day:-)

I'm so excited to be ME, right now! Folk may think I found Gawd (not that I ever really lost Him;-), or a new, loving Sweetness has swept me off my feet. In a way, I'm feeling like I think a "Holy Roller" feels. I. AM. LOVING. LIFE!! I feel I'm in the greatest relationship I've evah been in! I'm relating to ME & a bit more aware of my relationships with those outside of myself. I seem to smile more (I know those who see me won't think that's possible - but the smile is coming from inside & it's not just for "show"). No longer feeling like I'm putting on for "my public". I. AM. FEELING WONDERFUL!! Don't know why -- but I've learned not to look a gift horse in the mouth (not sure why that iz -- but anyway). ALL this to say - I hope u readers are experiencing the wonders of this world, too!
